Surviving the school holidays
School holidays are a time for families to get together and have fun. However some families, the school holidays are a nightmare. No matter how much you love your family, without the structure of the school day it can be a strain. If you want make the most of the summer holidays, here is some advice you can follow.
Prepare and make plans. Picnics are a great day out for te family, so get organised and get the groceries in advance. Prepare all the food and put it in air tight containers and so that it’ll all be fresh, pop it in the refrigerator for a while before you set off. An ice box is a vital piece of equipment along with plastic plates, cups and cutlery.
You can also plan on visiting family members that live outside your area for a good day out or to stay over. There are always lots of festivals with plenty to do for all the family often with good food, music and kids activities.
Remember to ensure everyone keeps well hydrated with lots of still water and that they wear plenty of high factor sunscreen to avoid short term burning and longer term skin damage.
